1. What sizes and kinds of plants do you sell?

We have over 200 species that are native to Ontario. We sell most perennials/grasses in 4” pots. Trees/shrubs may be in 5”, 1 or 2 gallon. We do not sell bare-root stock. Please contact us for current availability or for contract for plugs.

2. Do you sell seed?

Unfortunately no, we do not sell seed. If we collect seeds from the wild, we do so with caution, collecting less than 10% of the total in any location, not allowing for the quantities needed for commercial selling.

3. Can we come for a nursery tour?

For the 2022 season, we will not be open for nursery tours due to Covid. Pickup only at specified date/time.  No drop-ins.

4. How can I make an order?

Please email us at info@grow-wild.com with your list for availability and pickup time.

5. What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, etransfer or credit (VISA/Mastercard). Cheques accepted from our wholesale/commercial partners. For retail pickups – payment in advance preferred.

6. Do you recycle pots and trays?

Yes! You can return any of our pots/trays to us – drop-off in nursery driveway.

7. It’s May, and my plant looks tiny/my tree isn’t leafed out? Help!

Rest assured, every plant that leaves our nursery has been checked for viability. Unlike many other commercial growers, we only force new seed stock in the greenhouse. The rest of our stock is outside, following nature’s cues as to when to come up and how fast. If your trees outside aren’t leafed out yet, ours won’t have either.

8. It’s September and my trilliums are dormant/my plant has been cut back? Help!

Some species bloom early in the spring and go dormant quickly after (spring ephemeral). Others need to be cut back in order to promote growth, or there is too much stem to root for that time of year. Rest assured, there will be a bulb in your trillium pot – and wait for next spring!

9. What is your replacement policy?

As above, all our plants are checked for viability before being picked up or delivered. No guarantees once picked up, other than you will have received a live plant true to species name. Please consider weather and watering needs for your new additions.

10. Do you ship or deliver plants?

Unfortunately we do not ship plants in the mail at this time. However, delivery is available with a minimum $1000 order plus additional delivery charges to be added depending on location. Please contact us.

11. Will you be offering curbside pickup?

Yes! Covid protocols to be followed. Curbside starting May 2021.

12. Can you tell me what plants are poisonous to humans and pets?

We encourage each customer to do their own research.

13. How do I know what species to put in my garden?

You can contact us regarding: soil textures, moisture regimes, percent shade, pH and other ecological parameters. We encourage each customer to research their area and our catalog has many symbols for specific requirements.
